Hana Soueidan

Hana joined Dr. Weeber’s Neurobiology of Learning & Memory Laboratory in October 2014 as a volunteer. Since March 2016 she has been a research technician.  She is working with Dr. Li on a drug discovery project.  In particular, she uses a luciferase assay to assess alterations in protein activity after applying Reelin and various drug compounds. Hana is completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences and minor in Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Florida, where she did her honor’s thesis investigating the effects of cell-specific Disabled-1 knockdown to examine the role of the Reelin signaling pathway on adult hippocampal neurogenesis.
